Shepard Fairey creates screenprinted imagery using the the language of propaganda and vintage poster graphics. Rise Above Rebel features the artist's signature red and black color palette. Barnaby Furnas adds painterly strokes and hand-finishing to historically and politically imbued aquatints. The Whalers is part of a series based on an interpretation of Melville's Moby-Dick. Wangechi Mutu, who is currently the subject of a solo exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum, draws inspiration from science fiction, cultural imagery and the female body to create uniquely collaged editions, such as Second Born.
