Art Basel Hong Kong 2017
March 22, 2017 - March 25, 2017
Pace Prints will present a selection of new and recent editions in Booth 1B33 at Art Basel Hong Kong 2017.
Li Songsong’s Hang On (2016), a monoprint that was created using handmade cast paper will be highlighted.
Leonardo Drew’s 58P (2017) will be exhibited. Drew uses pigments on printed and cast paper pulp to create sculptural prints in deep relief. His large scale, organic forms continually push the boundaries of the papermaking medium.
Daniel Heidkamp’s newest unique works, Autumn Assemblage (2017), Paper Blossoms (2017), and Spire One (2017) will be on view. Both works are pigmented, dyed, and printed paper collages depicting city and country landscapes in a pop-influenced color palette.
Tomoo Gokita’s subtly provocative Dance Party and The Madmen #1, recently published, will be exhibited for the first time in Hong Kong. The monochromatic, stenciled paper pulp paintings with pochoir were created in editions of 35.
Zhang Xiaogang’s Tian'anmen Series (2007), a multi-colored portfolio of seven silkscreens in an edition of 68, will also be featured.
Jenny Holzer’s Conclusion (2016), a set of six colorful aquatints that subtly contains references to the United States' involvement in the “war on terror” is a recently published Pace Prints edition.
Pace Prints will release a new large-scale screenprint by KAWS, exclusively at Art Basel Hong Kong.
Also on view will be works by Ghada Amer & Reza Farkhondeh, Chuck Close, George Condo, Will Cotton, Tara Donovan, Jean Dubuffet, Shepard Fairey, Keith Haring, Sea Hyun Lee, Lee Ufan, Robert Mangold, Wangechi Mutu, Yoshitomo Nara, Kenneth Noland, Erik Parker, Ed Ruscha, Kenny Scharf, Pat Steir, Reginald Sylvester II, James Turrell, Zhang Xiaogang, Yue Minjun and Zhang Huan.
