At Art Basel Miami Beach 2018, Pace Prints will feature new and recent editions in Booth J1. This year’s presentation, celebrating Pace Prints’ 50 year anniversary, will highlight several new collaborations with young artists who have risen to prominence in the last five years, alongside prints by well-established artists.
Nina Chanel Abney’s first print edition published by Pace Prints will be released at Art Basel. Entitled Two Years and Counting, it is a relief print in eleven colors, measuring an impressive 66 by 40 inches, in an edition of 35. In this print, Abney has employed her improvisational graphic language and unique stenciling techniques.
Pace Prints will also release its first editions in collaboration with Loie Hollowell. Her two new prints, entitled Standing in Light and Standing in Shadow, are Ukiyo-e woodcuts in editions of 25.
Shara Hughes’ new monoprints will be exhibited for the first time. Hughes made these monoprints by painting directly onto metal plates, frequently employing several passes to create her vibrant imagery.
Peter Saul just completed a new color etching, Collision, in an edition of 40 that will have its premier at Art Basel.
David Hockney created a series of etchings at his Los Angeles studio in collaboration with the master printer, Maurice Payne. Featured in Pace Prints’ Booth (J1) will be a selection of these prints.
