Pace Masters

 – , 2020

Pace Prints is pleased to present Pace Masters, an exhibition of editions published by Pace Prints featuring Chuck Close, Mary Corse, Jean Dubuffet, Lee Ufan, Sol LeWitt, Louise Nevelson, Kenneth Noland, Robert Mangold, Agnes Martin, Robert Ryman and Joel Shapiro.  This exhibition encompasses the two Pace Prints Galleries on the third floor of 32 East 57th Street.  Pace Masters will be on view until March 28, 2020.

Pace Prints and Pace Gallery have worked side-by-side with many masters of contemporary art.  Our current exhibition is dedicated to this partnership, and the historic works of art it has produced.  From the earliest publication, the 1973 suite of 6 prints Présences Fugaces by Jean Dubuffet to the most recent Mary Corse portfolio Untitled (Band) from 2019, the exhibition spans 5 decades of printmaking.  Within the show is a survey of Conceptual and Minimal prints including Mary Corse, Lee Ufan, Robert Mangold, Agnes Martin and Robert Ryman. Prints by sculptors Louise Nevelson and Joel Shapiro are exhibited next to a unique sculptural work by Sol LeWitt from 1979 entitled Five Open Geometric Structures.  Kenneth Noland’s signature “Circle” image is represented by Untitled, 2009 next to the monumental Open Cube on Color in Color, 2003 by LeWitt.
