Stephen Sollins was born in Washington, DC in 1967. He received his B.A. from Bard College and his M.F.A. from the School of Visual Arts in New York. Present in much of his work are themes of memory and loss, the notion of respiration, and an impression of temporal duration. Stephen Sollins currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
