Corban Walker
Corban Walker's work includes sculpture, installation, photography, drawing and print. His work is aimed at defining a new sense of scale, orientated from a visual height of 4 feet, "corbanscale," and maps out environmental constructs for the spectator and artist alike to negotiate their surroundings. Walker incorporates glass, steel and L.E.D. light in his site-specific work. He has been commissioned to create major installations for the New Wing of the Crawford Art Gallery in Cork, Ireland, the New Bank of Scotland Headquarters Ireland, and the Mitsubishi Estate Co. headquarters in Tokyo, among others. Corban Walker was chosen to represent Ireland at the 2011 Venice Biennale.
