Dan Walsh Curates "Innervisions" at IPCNY

Pace Prints collaborator Dan Walsh curated an exhibition for the International Print Center New York titled Innervisions: New Prints 2016/Summer, on view June 16—September 24, 2016 at 508 West 26th Street, 5th Floor.

Walsh selected and installed works in the exhibition from a pool of over 2,000 submissions by roughly 800 artists. The exhibition features 54 works by 50 artists, including 31 artists exhibiting for the first time at IPCNY. Innervisions reflects the growing geographic reach of New Prints submissions, with artists exhibiting from 16 states and 10 countries.

About the exhibition, Dan Walsh writes: “Innervisions proposes the idea of how the medium of printmaking, for all its mechanical and physical methodologies, innately and naturally lends itself to express expansive and interior visions. The print has always attracted a certain kind of artist who is drawn to the macro/micro world of the plate or block, and especially the process. This group of fifty artists is no exception. Their approach to the practice is from a variety of perspectives, which reflects today’s environment of diverse interests and non-hierarchical thinking.”
