Standard Press announced their latest book release, 50 Parties, a document of Ryan McGinness' infamous 50 parties project—a series of 50 themed parties for 50 successive weeks from 2009-2010.
With this project, McGinness, "endeavored to create genuine parties with no hidden agenda—parties for the sake of parties, with absolutely no sponsorship. He was interested in the idea of party as medium and vehicle for creating content. To that end, each party was based on a different concept or theme, aimed at creating real interactions between guests."
The Standard Spa, Miami Beach hosted a recreation of the parties during Art Basel Miami Beach 2016. 50 Parties is now available exclusively through The Standard shops and online store.
