Shara Hughes on painting her first series of monotypes

We visited painter Shara Hughes in her studio shorty before the opening of "Surprise Anxiety," her first exhibition with Pace Prints. In this video, Hughes discusses the challenges (and the unexpected pleasures) of translating her painting style to the monotype process.

Peter Saul on Art, Freedom and 50 Years of Printmaking

Shortly before the 50-year retrospective of his prints was to open at both Pace Prints galleries, we talked to Peter Saul as he looked back over his career so far.

His key takeaways: he doesn't have any sincere convictions; he is not authentic; he doesn't fact-check; he's more relaxed when he's being irresponsible; and whatever critics think, he thinks the opposite.

"Peter Saul: Prints | 1966—2017" opens April 26 at Pace Prints, 521 West 26th Street, and will be on view April 27—June 9 in Chelsea and at 32 East 57th Street.

Nina Chanel Abney on her début show with Pace Prints

Ahead of the opening of her first solo exhibition with Pace Prints, we sat down with painter Nina Chanel Abney to talk about her work and the experience of making her first body of prints.

Abney will be exhibiting the large-scale unique prints that she created in our printshop October 26–December 15, 2018, at Pace Prints, 521 West 26th Street, 4th Floor.
