New Editions

Pace Prints is pleased to present a selection of new editions and monoprints at its 32 East 57th Street gallery. The exhibition will be on view October 15—November 28, 2015.

The highlight of the exhibition will be Robert Mangold’s newest set of two etchings, Double Square Frame I & II, in the artist’s signature yellow and brick red color palettes.

James Turrell’s large-scale digital print in varying shades of blue will have its debut. The edition of 30 depicts Aten Reign (2013), the artist’s monumental, site-specific installation in the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum rotunda. Shepard Fairey’s newest reliefs, printed on handmade paper, tackle political subject matter such as corruption in government and environmental concerns. They exemplify the artist’s iconic style, which is influenced by Islamic patterns, Chinese Communist propaganda and American advertising.

April Gornik created Desert Light using soft ground etching, aquatint and spitbite aquatint to depict the radiant shearing light of an expansive desert landscape. Employing three plates with six colors, the artist recreates the weight and richness of the environment she encountered during her travels to Namibia.

Chuck Close’s masterfully executed Self-Portrait (2015), made using 84 colors and over two dozen blocks, will also be on view.
