Kennedy Yanko, best known for her sculptures composed of scrap metal, expands on her practice at Pace Paper through this new unique work. She layers pigmented pulp in hand manipulated formations five times before transferring wax pastel and drawing on the surface. Similarly to her sculptural work, On the spot contrasts spontaneity with control, and softer materials with harder forms.
