Inka Essenhigh was awarded the 2014 Joseph V. Canzani Alumni Award for Excellence by her alma mater Columbus College of Art & Design on September 5, 2014. “I’m from Columbus, and I often joke that it’s the most exotic thing about me,” says the artist. “With that [upbringing] comes a work ethic, a craft (the ability to draw), and an appreciation for what’s come before—all things that were reinforced at CCAD.”
“Her consistent exhibition record suggests a strong work ethic,” said Fine Arts professor Tim Rietenbach, who nominated Essenhigh for the award. Essenhigh’s work will be on display in CCAD’s Canzani Gallery through October 10. See link (right) to view Inka Essenhigh’s prints with Pace Prints.
