On Thursday, March 22*, 6–8pm, artist Joel Shapiro and Andrew Hoyem, publisher of Arion Press, will present their recent publication of Hart Crane's The Bridge at Pace Prints, 32 East 57th Street, 3rd floor.

Arion Press published Crane's 1930 poem in scroll format, measuring over fifty feet in length, illustrated with woodblock prints by Shapiro. It was printed from handset type on Chinese handmade paper in an edition of 300. The scroll will be on display through March 30, alongside additional woodcut prints by Shapiro in editions of 30.
Shapiro and Hoyem will deliver remarks as will Professor Langdon Hammer, chair of the English Department at Yale University.
The reception will also mark the opening of the exhibition Joel Shapiro: Etchings & Woodcuts, which will showcase Shapiro's prints from 1990 to the present, and will be on view March 21–April 21.
