Pace Prints is pleased to announce the release of a new screenprint by Emilio Perez, available starting November 1, 2016. The print was created using imagery from the artist’s large-scale installation Dream Season for Times Square Arts and Times Square Advertising Coalition’s Midnight Moment series.
The print was inspired by the rhythm and energy of New York’s perpetually pulsating Times Square. In the artist’s words, the installation is “a visual road trip, where the viewer is immersed in a series of collaged drawings, painted gestures and layers of atmospheric color that recall distant galaxies, ebbing and flowing like crowds that pass through the city and the bodies of water which surround it.”
The screenprint, in an edition of 50, combines the spontaneity and expressiveness of painting with the kinetic energy of the Midnight Moment experience. The installation will play nightly on the electronic billboards of Times Square from November 1 through November 30, 2016 from 11:57pm to midnight.
