Pace Prints Expands to Los Angeles

Pace Prints is excited to announce the opening of a new 11,700 square foot facility in Los Angeles in the Fall of 2026. Located at 1130 Seward Street, the new space will further enhance Pace Prints' creative partnership with Los Angeles-based artists and deepen its commitment to the city’s arts community.

Designed by Murdock Solon Architects, the space will house a 6,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art printshop dedicated to ink-based projects in the heart of Hollywood’s vibrant gallery scene. The adjacent 5,700 sq. ft. gallery will exhibit prints and editions created at both the Los Angeles and New York printshops. Pace Prints’ President and CEO, Jacob Lewis, will oversee both the New York and Los Angeles locations.

“Not just a printshop, we want this to be an open and communal space for artists working in Los Angeles. One where they can come develop their printmaking practices, see what each other is working on, and build a living creative resource that fosters exchange and new ideas. We want to give artists free reign to develop new modes of working and grow their practices inside and outside the shop. Los Angeles offers such a unique type of creative inspiration, and we want the work created here to reflect that.” - Jacob Lewis, President and CEO, Pace Prints

Over the past decade, Pace Prints has published prints and editions by many leading Los Angeles-based artists, including Ross Caliendo, Brian Calvin, Elliott Hundley, Alex Isreal, Friedrich Kunath, Shio Kusaka, Spencer Lewis, Jake Longstreth, Hilary Pecis, Blair Saxon-Hill, and Jonas Wood. This new space will allow the Pace Prints’ community of artists to grow and offer them access to a world class printmaking studio—promoting experimentation and innovation while giving them the space to conceive larger, more ambitious projects.

“I’m thrilled to see Pace Prints open its new Los Angeles facility in Hollywood, especially given my past art editions with them and the way their collaborative approach continually pushes me and so many other artists to think about materials in new and unexpected ways. Their legacy on the East Coast has long set a standard for experimentation and excellence in printmaking. Having that history and energy now rooted on the West Coast makes it even more accessible to artists and collectors here, and that’s incredibly exciting.” - Hilary Pecis

“Experimenting and collaborating with the artist printmakers at Pace Prints has been incredibly generative for my practice; having them here in LA is a tremendous resource for our community.” - Elliott Hundley

“I love working with everyone at Pace Prints. I made my first print with them in 2019. Since then, we’ve made three standalone prints and three suites together. Over the past seven years, I’ve been able to explore a diverse range of printing techniques, including lithography, etching, and woodcut printing. I especially loved working on the Ukiyo-e style woodcuts with Yasu Shibata. It’s been great collaborating with the team and I’m excited to try new techniques. I can’t wait to see what’s next. Welcome to LA!” - Jonas Wood

Coinciding with this announcement, Pace Prints will be participating in Frieze Los Angeles for the first time, presenting a booth that showcases prints and editions by the Los Angeles-based artists who have worked in collaboration with the publisher’s print and papermaking studios in New York.
