Painter, sculptor and printmaker David Bates is the subject of a multi-museum survey in Texas. The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth will exhibit paintings by the Dallas based artist, spanning 40 years of his career. The nearby Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas will show sculptures and works on paper by the artist. The joint exhibition was organized by Dr. Marla Price, director of the Modern, and Jeremy Strick, director of the Nasher, and will focus on Bates' prolific career and connections to the Dallas arts community.
