The National Gallery of Australia will host a comprehensive James Turrell retrospective, on view December 13, 2014—June 8, 2015. The exhibition will chronicle the artist’s nearly 50 year career, featuring Turrell’s iconic Projections and Skyspaces, as well as holograms, drawings, prints and photographs. The show includes works that appeared in the 2013 retrospectives at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the Guggenheim in New York, as well as site-specific environments built for Canberra.
James Turrell’s most recent collaboration with Pace Editions, Suite from Aten Reign—a suite of aquatint etchings based on his Aten Reign installation at the Guggenheim—will be on view at Art Basel Miami Beach December 4—7, 2014.
