Keith Haring died of AIDS-related illness at the age of 31 in 1990. It has now been another 30 years since that moment, yet Haring's vision and legacy continue to live on and animate the discourse around inclusion and violence, suffering and joy in our culture.
We recently marked what would have been Haring's 62nd birthday with an exhibition dedicated to his prophetic 1988 collaboration with William S. Burroughs, Apocalypse. We are also gathering and sharing resources that remind us how Haring's work has continued his mission.
On December 4, 2020, PBS will premiere a new American Masters documentary dedicated to Keith Haring. Directed by Ben Anthony, the film includes footage shot at Pace Prints.
