"Louise Nevelson: Early Prints" at the Art Museum of WVU

The Art Museum of West Virginia University is presenting its recently acquired collection of twenty-two prints by Louise Nevelson in the museum's Deem Print Gallery. The donation of this group of works, dating from 1953 to 1966, was made possible by Pace Prints President Jacob Lewis, an alumnus of the WVU College of Creative Arts.

The museum will host a discussion of the prints on Friday, February 11, at noon.* Moderated by Megan Leight, a scholar of Pre-Columbian American art and architecture, the presentation will investigate how Nevelson’s visits to Mexico and Guatemala in the 1950s influenced the artworks featured in the exhibition. This is a hybrid event live in the Art Museum’s McGee Gallery and on Zoom.

Please note that this event was postponed from the original date of Friday, February 4.
