The Pasadena Museum of California Art will be honoring artist Kenny Scharf on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Kosmic Krylon Carnival. The event celebrates the ten-year anniversary of the artist’s Kosmic Krylon Garage, which houses his whimsical spray-painted murals. Among other California-inspired prizes, Scharf’s infamous KARBOMBZ will be raffled off at the event.
Kenny Scharf gained prominence in New York City's East Village in the 1980s for his ambitious, cartoon-like installations and paintings. A solo show featuring the artist’s most recent collaboration with Pace Editions will be on view at Pace Prints Chelsea from October 10—November 8.
