Portland-based collage and assemblage artist Blair Saxon-Hill discusses her 2022 printmaking residency in the Pace Prints studios and the body of work that resulted. In this interview, the artist reflects on how materiality animates the subjects of her work, the role that the city of New York took on for her, and how the collaborative printmaking process offered her new possibilities in collage. City Dip, Saxon-Hill's exhibition at Pace Prints, is on view through December 23, 2022.
