A behind-the-scenes look at the making of Daniel Heidkamp’s first body of pulp paintings, made at the Pace Paper workshop in Gowanus, Brooklyn. The artist discusses his process of using both observation and memory to construct scenes of beaches, ridges, wooded clearings and interior spaces influenced by his time in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

The exhibition will be on view at Pace Prints, 521 West 26th Street, November 13–December 24, 2015.
