New York-based Catalan artist Santi Moix let us shadow him in the Pace Editions printshop, as he created the large-scale monoprints for his upcoming show, "Hanabi," at Pace Prints, 521 West 26th Street.
In this video, Moix describes the origins of the project, how he develops ideas over time, and the importance of keeping our capacity for wonderment and surprise.
"Hanabi" will be on view September 20 – October 26, 2019, with a public opening reception Thursday, September 19.
